From the Photographer:
Classy DIY wedding, homemade bouquets, centerpieces, favours, boutonnieres, decorations and handmade veil. 75 guests – total budget $8360.
A lot of work went into this wedding, and nearly everyone who came to the wedding was involved in some way. It was truly a DIY wedding! Ashley bought bouquets of flowers at Costco a few days before the wedding, and we (Photographer was also a bridesmaid) cut the ends immediately and stuck them in a bin with water, and kept them in a cool location. They were used as centerpieces for the tables, and we (the bridesmaids) took half an hour the morning of the wedding and made our own bouquets. Ashley wanted a simple, hand tied wildflower look and these bouquets were perfect! Ashley and I (photographer) made the succulent corsages the week before the wedding, using succulents from my mother’s garden, and leaves from a pine tree. They were beautiful and easy, and we were able to make them ahead of time. Ashley’s father made the beautiful arbour that she got married under and added the beautiful ferns on it. I hand made all the flags for the ceremony and tent, and the table numbers, also the purple mason jars with flowers. We DIY’ed the vases for the centerpieces and picked wildflowers from the field behind my parents house to fill it up. My mom (grooms Mom) and I made Ashley’s cathedral lace veil, and tea dyed it to match her ivory dress. Ashley and Alex’s mom made the cake, cupcake and cookie favours. Ashley’s family made all the delicious desserts.
