From the Couple:

CREATIVE ASPECT

It was important to us, that our Wedding Day felt like “us”.  We wanted to create a rustic, romantic, laid back gathering with personal touches throughout.  Even choosing our outfits, we didn’t want to look like anyone but the best version of ourselves!  I’ve always loved hand-making crafts, so it was an easy decision to mostly have DIY décor, favors and even our welcome bags.  We planned our entire wedding from our home in Northern California.  Our Apartment turned into a Wedding Workshop!

We wanted to share a little bit of Maine with our Guests.  I decided to get tiny glass bottles (less than 3oz.  since most of our guests were traveling) and once we got to Maine, my sister filled each one with Maine Maple Syrup.  We finished it off with a Maple Leaf shaped Thank You tag, wrapped in twine.

ADVICE FROM THE COUPLE

It was important to me that I absorbed the experience while it was happening, from the planning to Big Day.  Now is the time to enjoy the details, the chaos, the planning, all those special moments shared with your partner and your loved ones.  Although it gets stressful and overwhelming at times, (trust me, I understand! I did all this while working full time and launching my Business’ Website) but try to soak it in and seriously don’t stress the small stuff.  The day will be magical, if you just let it happen.

Soak it in, make sure to stop and take deep breaths at certain moments throughout the day.  I can tell you now, that I remember each of those moments that we STOPPED, took those deep breaths and we each remember how special it felt.  In fact, it helped us capture some of our favorite moments, through shared feelings and emotions.

FAVORITE DETAIL

It’s hard to pick just one favorite.  The details as a whole, made our day feel so special and personal.  We put so much love into every little detail, seeing them fill the Venue made me smile and remember all the moments we shared bringing them to a reality.  To us, I would have to say our most favorite detail was being in Maine (our special place) on a beautiful Summer day.
