{diy Projects} Print Your Own Invitations With A Letterpress

Rebecca contacted me with this diy invitation letterpress project.  This is for the ultimate crafter who wants to take it to the next level and leave those stamps behind. Try your hand at a really letterpress! It looks like a lot of fun. Don’t worry Rebecca is going to teach you everything you need to know to run this beautiful piece of equipment. Need help with designing? Rebecca can help with that too!

So, if you live in the San Francisco Bay Area and would like to take a totally fun class where you can print your own invites, RSVP cards, Thank You cards, and such. , drop a line to Reb Peters Press.

Rebecca Peters, Owner

About Reb Peters Press: Reb Peters Press is a one-woman press in Oakland, California that in addition to offering letterpress printing services, also offers letterpress printing workshops where couples can come in and print their own wedding invites under the careful guidance of printer Rebecca Peters.

If you have access to and experience with Adobe Illustrator or InDesign, you can create your own design to print from.  You can also schedule a day two weeks (or more) before your printing day to meet with Rebecca where she will sit down with you and help you create your design on her computer.   This design will be made into a photopolymer plate, which is what you’ll print from on the day of your workshop.

The workshop is 4-5 hours long and costs $200, plus materials.  When you contact Rebecca about the specifics of what you want to print, she can give you a better idea of how much time your project will take and how much the materials will be.
