From the Photographer:
Ann and Eric were married on a PERFECT day in May. There wedding was at the absolutely beautiful Rose Hill Farm in Nashville, NC just outside of Raleigh. I had never had the privilege of shooting at Rose Hill before and gosh I hope it isn’t the last time. This beautiful and stately historic manor has so much to offer. Both inside and out, it is definitely the perfect place for a wedding. There are so many beautiful options! Ann and Eric opted to marry at the gazebo at the lake and then the reception was on the pool deck. It was perfect. We couldn’t have had more perfect weather for this beautiful wedding and I knew from the minute I pulled up that I HAD to use the beautiful field of buttercup flowers that was just on the other side of the road from the main house. It was beautiful and simply perfect. I also envisioned the pose too for their portraits in the buttercup field.
At their engagement session, Eric spontaneously picked up Ann and was throwing her around so effortlessly and it was so adorable and made her laugh so that I knew I had to have him pick her up in some way in her wedding dress.I told him that day in the field, “I don’t care how you do it, but I want you to pick her up. Maybe just straight up because of her dress?” and that is JUST what he did.It was perfect and since the videographer needed a little more time to set up, Eric got to do it twice and I got two opportunities to get the angles I wanted! We then walked over to the street and did some portraits in the tree lined main drive and then it was time to party.
Eric and Ann waltzed into their reception and went right into greeting their guests. They all dined and then had some dancing, toasts, and cake cutting followed by some more dancing the night away to the tunes of one of my favorite local DJs, Eric with All around Raleigh DJ! It was a great night and a great party and the perfect way to celebrate these two!
