From the Photographer:
You would never know Bekah and John planned their elegant and country chic estate wedding in less than two months. They were engaged and Bekah was graduating in December from college, so the two decided to move the wedding date up and get married Christmas Eve day, so they could move to John’s hometown in Kansas in early Spring. The wedding was held at the Fulbright Estate in Apopka, Florida and the home was decorated with every Christmas detail imaginable. Beautiful reds and greens, poinsettia and garland hung from the house where they exchanged vows.
The reception took place out in the yard, adjacent to the barn and under the low hanging branches of old oak trees. Farm tables were simply adorned with Baby’s Breath and mason jars, with Christmas colors of red and green. Paper lanes in red and green hung from the tree branches. Since the wedding as planned quickly the couple and their families did a lot of the decorations and details themselves. They decorated the tables themselves and the reception area. Farm tables and Chivari chairs accented the country rustic reception space.
Behkah and her father share a special bond and this was evident during their first look and father/daughter dance. Tears flowed during most of the day. It was a beautiful and perfect Christmas Eve celebration. Bekah and John showed us how to pull together an exquisite event in a few months, and proved DIY can also be elegant and chic.
