From the Bride:
Oh man! Is it completely cliché to say it was absolutely perfect but in no way what I pictured or anticipated? Everyone says that “your day” goes by so fast so I was determined not to feel that way. Every 20-30 minutes I would stop and take in everything around me. How I felt, who I was with and what I was grateful for at that moment. I have so much to be grateful for and it really showed “day of”. I wanted to be hands on and help with every aspect of my wedding. My husband Brent and I did 99% of everything at the wedding DIY. I think in doing that it made me feel more comfortable, because I knew everything was going to turn out exactly how I wanted instead of settling for something that I only kind of liked. My cheeks hurt so bad the next day because I don’t think I stopped smiling the entire length of the wedding. From wearing animal onesies while getting ready, to walking down the isle filled with handmade paper flowers, to writing our own outlandish vows, to eating delicious in & out for dinner… we did everything our way, how we wanted and not how other people expected us to do it or told us was the right way. Our way was the only right way. When you do exactly what you want to do how could it not turn out perfectly?
