Animals are being included in wedding parties all over the place as of late, and it is wonderfully adorable. There is more than one way to make them apart of the big day, and really show how they are part of the new-formed family.

Put them in the wedding party!

Your pet is special to you, and since they will be apart of a new family, why not include them directly in the big day? Including your dog in the big moment walking down the aisle is a cute way of introducing him or her to your guests, and also showing him that you’re not going anywhere, even though you’re getting married. Also, having them in the wedding party allows for the potential for the dog to interact with a flower girl or ring bearer, and what could be more precious than a dog playing with kids at a wedding? Dogs and kids signify youth, too, so adding them to a wedding brings a burst of youth to the occasion, solidifying the new beginning of the day.

Give them their own photo or job!

This pup knows he is not forgotten; he has his own photo shoot! Having your pet have his own photo or even task for the big day is a great way to have your own photos and wedding party while not leaving the pet behind. Maybe he isn’t going to be the best man, and she may not be the maid of honor, but you can still give them a “job” to do. Humans in the wedding party and pets as helpers creates a cute way to include your furry friend. Give ’em a bowtie and he could be the ring bearer down the aisle, a greeter at the reception, or maybe even an usher. There are many things a dog can do to not only be present for the big day, but be an effective and adorable part of it.

Include them in couple pictures!

If you don’t want your doggie to walk you down the aisle, that’s okay. Include them by putting them in the photo shoot! When you look back on your great day, you’ll have them in your memories, without the risk of them doo dooing on the aisle in front of you. Dress them up in a bowtie, tuxedo, or dress, and they’ll practically be part of the wedding party. Also, having a dog running through photos on a bright sunny wedding day makes for a great session. Including your dog in a picture of you and your new spouse will serve as an official “family photo,” and will set a great precedent for the rest of the couple’s life together. Animals add a fun aspect to your photos and can make your day extra unique.

Not only bringing your pets to your big day, but finding a place for them to fit in is a trend that’s sticking around. Who wants to leave their favorite fuzzy friend in a kennel on the most special day of their life anyways? Make your reception dog friendly for guests, too, and you could have a whole dog bonanza on your big day! It’s a doggie dog world, even in the wedding world.
