From the Couple:

CREATIVE ASPECT

We wanted the wedding to reflect our personalities so we had an outdoor wedding in the mountains. I think what also kept it really personal is we included a lot of family members and friends in the wedding day. Our aunt was the decorator, we had a family friend do the cake, our bridesmaids and groomsmen were the announcers and DJ’s, and our dog was there too!

FAVORITE DETAIL

Our favorite detail was the venue. The mountains made for such a beautiful scenery that we barely needed any decorations.

MEMORABLE MOMENT

The most memorable moment for us was when my husband and I were slow dancing to Ed Sheeran, “Thinking Out Loud” and all of our friends and family came and circled around us and started singing and swaying back and forth to the song. The sun had gone down and the lights were sparkling in the trees, it felt like a movie.

OTHER ASPECTS

Our wedding was magical, but honestly a lot of things went wrong that were out of our control. The flowers froze and never opened, the music didn’t work for a little bit, and our original getaway car was in the shop. I want other brides to know that photos can make a wedding look perfect, but everyone has last minute problems that you can’t control. Despite those things that went wrong, our wedding day was perfect.

BRIDE’S ADVICE

I would advise other brides to not let the little details of the day stress them out. Things will most likely not go as planned, but it is your wedding day so remember the bigger picture – you are marrying the man of your dreams. As long as there is plenty of food and drink your guests will have a great time
