From the Bride:
Taylor and I met October 31st, up on the incredible volcano of Maui called Haleakala. He says he was instantly attracted to my presence and I was attracted to his big arms. We started hanging out in groups of people while Taylor (being Canadian) was on Maui for an internship. It was so easy to go deep in conversation with each other yet also laugh so hard that we were crying on the ground. We were both interested in pursuing a relationship with each other but didn’t really know how to show it. It took two weeks away in Tahiti to actually admit to myself I liked him. When I got back we were inseparable. Our first 4 months of dating was so much fun. We were constantly surfing, camping, going on adventures, exploring new water falls, and hiking. Once Taylor’s Canadian visa expired, we had to endure long distance for 4 months so He invited me to Canada to meet his family. We talked a lot about marriage. After my trip to Canada, we went to Australia for 3 months and Taylor proposed to me on a cliff during a beautiful hike.
Once we were engaged, my amazing mama, started planning our wedding. Truly without her our wedding would have been nothing. I always tell her it should be her job because she is so creative and passionate about it. She got her crew of friends together and made it all happen. We hand crafted most of our decor and my Nana and Auntie made all the food. My close family friend Rachel did all the flowers and did the most amazing job. It was also so special to have our close friend, Matias with NV Maui Media, shooting our photos for us.
The day of the wedding, it rained up until the hour before the ceremony and we thought we may have to move the ceremony under the tent. Luckily, the rain stopped and the rest of day ended up being beautiful and it truly was the best day of our lives.
