How did you two meet?
Ryan and I met at Saint Anselm College in 2008 through our best friends who were dating at the time and are now married. Corey and Jessica grew up with Ryan and thought he and I would be a perfect pair. The first night we met I gave him a pink blanket to borrow since I knew he would be staying at “the football house” where clean blankets are hard to come by. The next morning Ryan knocked on my door and thanked me for the blanket. He asked me out on a date and now seven years later we are married!

How long was your engagement?
Ryan and I were engaged August 24, 2013 and were married August 23, 2014. The year flew by as I was in school full-time, but with the help of my mom and my wedding planner, Mindy Rossignol of Private Weddings and Events, I was able to enjoy the planning process.

What inspired your wedding theme?
We wanted to create a feeling that was elegant, yet felt like home for our friends and family. We love the beauty of the White Mountains and wanted our guests to enjoy the whole weekend with us, so choosing a venue that we could all stay at helped set the tone for a fun, love filled weekend.

What inspired your wedding color palette?
We wanted a soft, neutral color palette with sparkle. The girls chose from light pink, peach, and turquoise chiffon dresses while the boys wore light grey suits with soft pink gingham ties and matching pink socks.

What was special about where you got married?
Bishop Farm Bed & Breakfast is a beautiful place nestled in the White Mountains of Lisbon, NH. The rustic barn is over 100 years old, but evokes a shiny new elegance with beautiful chandeliers emanating from the high wooden ceilings. Being able to stay on the farm with our closest friends made the setting even more magical.

What do-it-yourself projects did you do?
We made our wedding programs, invitations, welcome bags, wedding signs for the property, a candy bar, strawberry jam & pepper jelly favors, escort cards, and tree slices for our centerpieces!

No matter where you get married I think having a wedding planner in any capacity is worth every penny. Since my husband and I were married in an area we were not entirely familiar with we hired a wedding planner to help us find vendors. Since Mindy knew the area we were reassured that we were hiring people we could trust. She was also instrumental in setting up all of our DIY projects on the day of our wedding! I wanted to be surrounded by my friends and family on my wedding day, so having her there to put on the finishing touches was invaluable.
