Kellan and I had many creative and personal aspects included in our wedding. Making all these details extra special was the fact that family and friends each had a hand in making the majority of the creative details placed around the wedding. From window frame collages showing the bridesmaids and groomsmen, our Save the Dates and Invitations, marquee letters, the arbor we were married under, the centerpieces and floral arrangements, the table numbers, the directional sign, the table seating charts, and the bar menu – everything was handmade and created by someone personal and meaningful to both Kellan and I. It was important to us to make our wedding feel personal and I think we were able to achieve that having many of the guests involved in the planning and creativity of it all.

I had many favorite details from our wedding day that I think it would be impossible to choose just one. Everything put all together just made it all work. If just one thing was missing from the whole picture the day would not have come together as well as it did.

I had a very specific vision of vintage romance and had many requested and images that I wanted to create. We could not have done all of the planning and executions of all my ideas without the amazing team behind it all of our family and friends. My parents, sister, all the bridesmaids, and many more family members and friends were amazing helps with execution and handing over their time to help. We had so much love and support behind us throughout the whole planning process it was almost impossible to not have an amazing outcome and experience.

There were a few memorable parts of the day, my top three would be – 1st favorite being the first look. The second we saw each other all the nerves and stressful feelings disappeared and we were ready to get married. The 2nd favorite was during our favorite song ‘Shout’ all of friends and family got in a circle and lifted Kellan and I up on top of the whole crowd, it was amazing seeing the whole dance floor from above crowded with all of our loved ones. The 3rd part was the Best Man and Maid of Honor speeches – they were both of our siblings and hearing their view of Kellan and I’s relationship over the past 10 years was amazing and hilarious.

I would say to not get caught up in the stressful moments, let this experience be the best it can be because it will only happen once and you want to be able to have everything about it be memorable and happy.

Also, during the actual wedding – take a moment with your husband and take a step back to watch everyone you love enjoying all your hard work, it will make everything worth it.
