Ingredients
  • 12 cups of your favorite cake recipe or mix
  • Color Right Performance Color System see below
  • Easy-Add Color Right Performance Color System
  • 6 cups Buttercream Icing Recipe - or -
  • 6 cups White Ready-To-Use Decorator Icing 4.5 pound tub
  • Easy-Add White Ready-To-Use Decorator Icing

Instructions
Step 1
  1. BATTER COLORS TINTED:
  2. Use Color Right base colors and QuickCount color formulas to tint batter in the following shades:
  3. • Teal (formula 3262): 4 cups batter + 2 Y + 8 B
  4. • Pink (formula 190): 4 cups batter + 6 P + 8 R
  5. • Yellow (formula 109): 4 cups batter + 1 O + 7 Y
Step 2
  1. Make layered cake. Divide batter into 4-cup portions. Tint each portion following QuickCount color formulas above. Bake and cool three 8 in. cake layers in blue, pink and yellow.
Step 3
  1. Prepare icing. Level, fill and stack layers on cake pedestal, for a 3-layer cake, 5 in. high.
Step 4
  1. Decorate cake. Use toothpick and cake dividing chart to divide cake sides and top into 10 sections. Mark divisions in half to create 20 sections. Use tip 1M, a cut disposable decorating bag and icing to pipe zigzags in each section.
