Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup frozen lime juice, thawed and strained to remove the pulp
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 3 packets plain gelatin
  • 3/4 cup tequila
  • 2 tablespoons triple sec
  • 6-8 limes, halved and cored
  • handful salt

Instructions
  1. Before mixing the Jell-O, halve and core the limes to create lime shells or bowls.
  2. In a large bowl, dissolve the gelatin with 2/3 cup of boiling water, stirring frequently to avoid clumping. Once dissolved, add the lime juice and stir until fully blended before adding the tequila and triple sec.
  3. Gently spoon in your margarita jello mix into the lime halves, taking care that they are resting in a secure place to avoid spilling (I used a cupcake tray and it worked like a charm).
  4. Allow the jello to set for 2-3 hours, and then remove from the fridge, cutting the lime halves into quarters and arranging on a serving tray with a handful of salt at the center of the display.
