Pumpkin Caipirinha Cocktail
  • 1/2pieces lime, cut into 4
  • 1/2ounce agave nectar
  • 1tsp fresh grated ginger; can sub with 1/2 oz. ginger liqueur
  • 1 1/2ounces cachaca
  • 1 1/2ounces pumpkin puree
  • ice
For garnish:
  • nutmeg
  • Lime wheel
  1. The base of this recipe uses cachaca — a popular distilled spirit from Brazil that is made from sugarcane. If you don’t have cachaca, substitute with white rum instead. Both spirits are made from sugarcane, though cachaca tends to be a tad tarter and sharper.
  2. Muddle the lime, agave nectar, and fresh ginger in the bottom of a cocktail shaker.
  3. Add cachaca, pumpkin puree, and ice. Shake until thoroughly mixed and chilled.
  4. Strain into a glass filled with ice, and garnish with grated nutmeg and a lime wheel.
