From the Photographer:
On July 4th two households untied to make one big and beautiful family. Guests gathered in Fort-Coulonge to witness Gaston & Erin exchange vows in a romantic beach ceremony. Erin had messaged me the day before the wedding saying she had made me something amazing. I was dying to know what it was and then received the pictures of the driftwood arch which she had made. Erin is a very talented girl and made a lot of the decor herself with some help from friends. She is a bit of a perfectionist and it showed with all of the amazing details throughout the ceremony and reception. She found old books and painted them purple to match the theme as well as mason jars and lots of flowers. I loved the custom photo-booth with chandelier and vintage frames that Erin’s friends made! And since Gaston is a goalie and loves hockey, the matching goalie glove and garter belt as well as the Stanley Cup card box and look-a-like cake toppers were a must.
Later in the day everyone celebrated and expressed their love for the happy couple in the new Conference Center at Spruceholme Inn in Fort-Coulonge. Owner, Jane Toller, said it was the most people they’ve entertained yet with over 300 guests. The legendary DJ Martin Leguerrier was there to entertain and provide some amazing music for the dance party which lasted the rest of the night.About the decor from the bride…..All decorations were home made. The majority of the items used were collected from my Davis family homestead that was built in the late 1800’s. (Books, jars, milk jars, wooden crates, old frames, doors on the aisle, the wedding box that was on the driftwood arch).
