From the Photographer:
Katy and Andrew met over three years ago while on separate vacations – she was living in Southern California and he was living in Northern California. After a year of long-distance Katy took a leap of faith and moved up to Northern California to be closer to Andrew. These two enjoy hiking, wake boarding, camping, and anything in the mountains so when it came time to choose a venue for their nuptials, a ski resort in the fall (the venue’s off-season) was the perfect choice.Their guests had the entire run of the resort, which made their wedding weekend the most amazing three-day affair.
Katy and Andrew’s family took a big part in all the details by doing all the bouquets and flowers, the bride’s dad made the arbor out of driftwood from her home-town of Santa Cruz, CA, and her cousin even baked all the brownies for the brownie bar (a request from the bride who isn’t the biggest fan of cake). A really special detail the couple added was the use of baseball themed rally towels instead of throwing rice of clinking glasses. And no, the baseball fan isn’t the groom.
The weather was perfect, the scenery was breathtaking and the love between this couple was ever so strong. I have to say it was one of the most perfect weddings I’ve ever been part of.
