From the Photographer:

Jen + Kyle decided to get married on their family homestead. The homestead consists of over 100 acres of beautiful farm land first purchased by Jen’s great great grandfather for only $.50 cents and acre. Hard to believe but totally rad. A little pond with a paddle boat, a hand build play house, huge hay bails, a heard of cows, lots of love and endless memories fill this land.

The land also provided most of the wedding decor: the beautiful pine garnishes that adorn the wooden fences as guest arrived, the hand crafted mason jar flower centerpieces, the huge oak tree that servers as the focal point for the ceremony and the old windmill looking over the fields. Jen’s aunt and uncle hand crafted the amazing double wooden doors that Jen made her entrance though for the ceremony. The only thing rented was the big white wedding tent from a local store owner they know.
A full out finger licking BBQ was served for dinner and homemade pies were enjoyed for the “pie cutting” and desert. And as on any good homestead the entire family came tougher to make this a day to remember.
