From the Photographer:
Colorado has some absolutely spectacular views, especially in the Rocky Mountains. Lucy & Kurt’s wedding was no different as it was at Arapahoe Basin’s ski resort near Keystone, CO. These two are no strangers to these mountains, as they met there and skied the treacherous double black diamond runs together. Of course in the summer time it’s quite a different look, though still as breathtaking. They were married at Black Mountain Lodge on a beautiful sunny day.
Lucy wore her grandmother’s pearls & veil with a strapless sweetheart neckline white gown. Kurt looked handsome in a classic grey suit and deep blue bowtie. The girls carried dried flower bouquets and boutonnieres that were made by the family. They were picture perfect.
To get to Black Mountain Lodge, you actually have to take the ski lift (as did all of the guests) to get to mid mountain. Of course these two wanted to make a grand entrance and exit on that same ski lift. Thank god I’m not afraid of heights! Although you do get a bit nervous you might drop a lens to its death.
At the reception were immense amounts of Italian treats that were the recipe of Lucy’s loved grandmother and family. They were delicious and all of the guests enjoyed the family tradition and goodies as her grandmother would have wanted.
For toasts I heard some of the funniest stories told by family members mostly about Lucy and how much of a little terror she was and how Kurt was kind of the beauty that tamed such a wild woman.
