From the Photographer:

Roni and Joe met in September 2011 – Joe proposed at their favorite outdoor spot and so the planning started, little did they know – they would enter this contest and they would win.It all starts with Roni who has a great affinity for art and crafts. Joe has followed her passion and they spent a great deal of time crafting and creating – This sweet couple from Maryland were the winners of A.C Moore’s contest the summer of 2016 – and we were honored to capture their dream day.

Back in the Spring of 2016 – A.C Moore and The Crystal Coast Tourism Authority launched a contest with the grand prize being a wedding which consisted of a trip for the bride and groom to Emerald Isle in The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, on October 22, 2016.The winning couple would receive a round-trip airfare, accommodations for 3 nights in a water-front mansion – This time was ‘The Boathouse’ in Emerald Isle, NC [ Courtesy of Emerald Isle Realty] this along with a dream DIY wedding ceremony and a reception which was coordinated by Krystal B with A Seaside Weddings and Events -The wedding accommodated up to 100 guests – The wedding was crafted by celebrity wedding planner David Tutera along with a wedding gown and tuxedo from Mon Cheri Bridals.

The total value of this wedding prize was $28,300. Participants were invited to enter by creating a short video (up to 1 minute) that expressed their love story and why they deserved to have A.C. Moore craft their free, dream wedding at Crystal Coast. A panel of judges reviewed all the video submissions and chose Roni and Joe based on their originality , Creativity, and Effort. You can see by their video they had this done and ready – They are definitely crafters! Their wedding day was held in a windy – 50 degree weather – The beginning to the fall season was evident – Our bride and bridesmaids braved the weather as well as the guests, it was so wonderful to have worked with everyone involved.
