 I love it when you can serve something that makes our guests interactive with the final results.  In this case, a Build It Yourself Deviled Egg Bar! You can make it simple or elaborate.

You can use colorful pails, small white dishes or your fine china. Just have fun with it!

Assemble your eggs on various different size plates and at different heights.  Use a simple recipe so that it doesn’t compete with your topping choices.  Below I have provided you with a list of a few scrumptious toppings that you can offer your guest that fits all budgets.  Don’t see your favorite topping(s) in our list?  Share it with us through the comment section below.


Fresh Dill, Thyme, Tarragon, Chives, Italian parsley, cilantro; finely chopped

Scallions, finely chopped


Spicy pickle relish

Pickled okra slices

Roasted red peppers, diced

Jalapeno peppers, diced

Green olives, sliced

Toasted pecans, chopped

Bacon crumbles

Goat cheese crumbles

Shredded cheddar cheese

Fresh horseradish

Country ham, sliced ultra thin and cut into small pieces

BBQ (beef or pork, shredded)

Smoked salmon (thin sliced)

Fresh lump crab-meat (cooked)

Baby shrimp (cooked)


Sour cream or Greek yogurt
